I want to start by saying the bar/waiting staff were brilliant, this review really isn't negative towards them.
We booked a table for 15 a while ago for a 50th bday meal, we was told there was an hour wait on food that was fine as we could see it was packed, the first 2 meals came out after 1 hour and 25 min the next 2 came out about 10 minutes after then more came quite a while after that unfortunately a couple of meals had to be sent back because they were burnt I had medium rare steak which was so well done I actually couldn't eat it so asked for a replacement the next 1 was edible but not medium rare . My husbands sauce had actually set in the boat and came out in 1 lump. The staff continued to smile be polite and change our meals. We did complain to a manager and to be fair was all given a free drink. We have been to the olde house dozens of times but earlier in the day not in the evening and always had a lovely food for this reason we would still come back but I'm not sure we would come in the evening/weekend again but stick to lunchtime. The staff were put under a lot of pressure and we were very greatful for their hard work .

Overpriced for portion sizes. But that's probably true everywhere these days. Took 40 minutes to bring our mains out.
Staff were friendly though.

Having just returned from a 3 night stay, we can only say the best things about the whole experience. The hotel rooms were very comfortable, the hotel staff in every department are amazing, so helpful, happy to be of service to one & all, nothing too much trouble, the food choices are great , we ate in the restaurant each of our 3 nights there and couldn't fault our meals , they were plentiful and beautifully presented. Kay looked after us at breakfast times , (which was also plentiful), she was always smiling and lovely to talk with.
We will recommend this happy establishment to one & all.

Always a pleasure to eat out on a Tuesday after connection group. Food always presented nicely and cooked beautifully. Staff serve with a smile and are always polite and accommodating.

Went for Sunday lunch. Was busy so a wait on food. But didn't mind as was a sunny day. Pizza, macaroni cheese and Sunday roast was eaten. 6/10 for the roast. Pizza and pasta was a 10 tho. Even managed a pudding. Will eat again there.

Had a really good time staff super friendly wven played pool with us after shift. my mother then was unfortunately rude to a manager but it wasn't anything bad she was just asking if a staff member on shift could play pool. When i tried to apologise on behalf of my mother the manager was then dimsissive and rude to me despite me been very sincere and apologetic. I understand my mother was rude but there is no way my tone was rude and i am personally offended as a collective we had a few rounds and customer shouldnt be treated that way. the managers girlfriend was also rude to me after i politely apologised. STAFF ARE LOVELY AND BRILLIANT managers need to sort themselves out

Very quiet Monday evening and the place was very cold. Didn’t seem to be any heating. Chose steak and it was tough in parts. Friend had the mixed grill which looked amazing and they said was really nice so guessing mine was a one off

We went for tea and did the order at the table. We were served by a fantastic member of staff called Weronika. She was so helpful and chatty and made it feel like nothing was too much trouble. Fabulous team member and all the food was delicious too!! Good price and served really quick.
Follow on visit for a family members 80th. Served by Anwen who was very polite and served us all really well. All good came out hot and freshly cooked and all at the same time which was great considering there were 12 of us. Good service has continued and we will visit again.
